About the game

A cosy midnight mystery. Somebody raided the cookie jar, and their dusty footprints are all over the floor, but you can only see them if you hold your torch low. Follow paw prints, slippers and robot wheels from room to room to find the thief's hiding place.

How to play

  1. Drag to move your torch around the dark kitchen.
  2. Slide the torch low. Light skimming across the floor makes the footprints cast little shadows.
  3. Tap a footprint to see whose it is, then follow the trail through the right door.
  4. When the tracks stop, tap the hiding place and catch the cookie thief.

The first level shows you what to do as you go, so there's nothing to read before you start.

Play together

Sneaky trail: one player picks a character and plans a secret route through the house, the other tracks them down. Fewest wrong turns wins.

Is it real?

Detectives call this raking light: a torch held low across a surface shows dust marks, fingerprints and scratches you can't see from above. Try it on a dusty shelf tonight.

Questions grown-ups ask

Do I need to download anything?

No. Every game runs right in your web browser. Open the page and play.

Are there ads?

No. There are no ads anywhere in the arcade, so kids can play without pop-ups or anything to click away.

Does it work on phones and tablets?

Yes. Every game is built for touch screens first, in portrait and landscape, and also works with a mouse and keyboard on a computer.

Is it OK for kids?

Yes. The games are made for kids and the grown-ups who play with them. Spooky games stay cute: ghosts giggle and say boo, nothing gory or mean.

Do we need an account?

Yes, a NerdHomies account lets you play every game and keeps your stars and progress. It only takes a few seconds to make one.

How much does it cost?

The arcade is in early access, and right now every game is included with your account. We will always tell members before anything changes.

Can we play together?

Most games have a two-player pass-the-phone mode, and a few are head-to-head or party games for up to six.
